Life Drawing at Hackney Picturehouse
Untutored life drawing every Tuesday evening (7–9pm) in the bright attic of Hackney Picturehouse. Two minutes from Hackney Central Overground. All skill levels — from absolute beginners to professional illustrators. Materials and easels provided.

- Bring Yourself. Materials, paper, easels, charcoal, pencils and pastels are all provided.

The 5-pack works out at £10 a session — the cheapest way to draw with us regularly. Bring a friend on your spare session.

The venue
Hackney Picturehouse is the independent cinema on Mare Street, in the heart of Hackney Central. Our sessions are held in the fifth-floor attic — industrial windows, natural light, comfy chairs, drawing boards. The cinema bar is open downstairs before, during and after.
FAQ
Do I need to be able to draw? No. About a third of attendees on any given Tuesday have never drawn from life before. Sessions are untutored and judgement-free.
Do I need to book? Booking online is £2.50 cheaper than the door price and guarantees a place. Drop-ins are welcome subject to space.
